MY NUMBER ONE PRIORITY

Is now to write in English. 

Period. 

That is why my next book will be published in English and that is also why I’m basically freaking out.

Before I talk a bit more about he book, let me tell you something. If you are not an English native speaker, and you want to write in English, prepare to feel stupid. 

Very stupid.

That is what I’m noticing now, that I’m spending most of my time doing exactly that.

Imagine sitting. Having an idea. Writing it down in your own language. Realizing you are not supposed to do it (you are supposed to write in English!) and delete the whole thing just to find yourself fixing at a blank screen because you have no clue how to write 40% of the words in that sentence.

‘Frustrating’ is not a good enough word to describe the feeling. 

I need to come up with a better one.

Anyways, with that out of the way, let’s talk a bit more about the book.

In my mind, this will be a fantasy book. More likely a dark fantasy book. Ideas are still in the air. Some characters are crisp clear, others are not. The plot is somehow there, but not quite yet.

And yet I’ve already managed to take some notes and to give myself a ‘feeling’ of what this story might look like.

For now the best way I have to describe it to you is: ‘think Death Note meets Legacy of Kain, and you’ll be on the right track’.

My goal is to publish this book by the first of November 2017, which seems pretty difficult judging by my early ‘progress’ and the constant need I have of dictionaries, memos, Google Translate, Word Reference and the like, which I feel are more on the way that of any help.

Well. That is what I asked for, and this is what I’ll deal with. And I’ll do it gladly. Because I’m an indie author and a masochist. :)

I feel like this post was more about whining that anything else, but there it is for you guys to enjoy.
